We are looking for interns to help shape the future of Entrepreneurship. This is an internship programme for U.S. undergraduates and postgraduates to immerse themselves in the multiculturalism of Malaysia while enhancing their cross-cultural competencies and obtaining impactful international work experience. You will be attached to the Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC), a government agency aiming to drive sustainable entrepreneurship ecosystem development through innovation and creativity by creating value and a new economic drive for Malaysia.

You will join a dynamic and growing team to help entrepreneurs across Malaysia and the wider neighbouring region in general. You will have the opportunity to work and support key MaGIC managers on strategic projects within dynamic teams across different divisions. Work will be varied and challenging. Based on your skills and interests, you will be either assigned to the:

  • Ventures - The Intern will support the Partnership department to build a partnership between startups and corporate stakeholders such as State Owned Enterprises (SOEs), Public Limited Companies (PLCs), Multinational Corporations (MNCs), Venture Capital and Angel Investors View Job Description
  • Social Innovation - The Intern will support the Social Innovation Team in carrying out various initiatives that provide the social innovators and social entrepreneurs the access to market, funding, skills and other capacity-building opportunities. View Job Description

We are looking for candidates who are currently in their 3rd or 4th year of Bachelor Degree. This program will be conducted virtually/hybrid. We provide an Internship allowance of RM3,200 (800USD± equivalent) and Grave-yard Shift allowance of RM1,000 (250USD± equivalent). For virtual internship programmes all local business-related travel can be claimed as well as for hybrid programs, all local business-related travels, visa applications and accommodations will be provided except the airfares.

Responsibilities

  • Candidate must possess or currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Entrepreneurship, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Human Resource Management, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Commerce or equivalent
