Assist in the planning, development, coordination and execution of programmes as well as initiatives related to Youth and Community Partnerships. Part of the job includes fostering new collaborations and improving stakeholder relations within the ecosystem. Programmes are mainly outcome based and this requires meticulous tracking, detailed documentation and frequent updates/ reporting to the head of department (HOD).

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in either of the following fields: Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Communications or other relevant qualifications.
  • Prior experience with social media, and ecosystem engagement would be an added advantage.
  • At least 2 years related experience and 1 years of work experience in a similar role/ function.
  • Great interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Self motivated and goal oriented.
  • Good presentation and communication skills.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Basic Project Management skills.
  • Basic Event Management skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.
  • Basic knowledge of the startup ecosystem would be an added advantage.
  • Social Media Skills would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage and foster relationships with potential target communities / partners; ie: coworking spaces/ entrepreneurs/ startups associations/ societies/ universities/ government agencies/ GLCs/ etc.
  • Compile and update internal programme dossier, promotional materials, collaterals, etc. as required to be promoted to external stakeholders and partners.
  • Prepare necessary documentations for community partnership programmes / projects such as proposals, memos, letters of partnership, MoUs/MoAs, and evaluate new in-coming project proposals.
  • Organise and implement community partnership programmes/ projects/ activities to achieve the department and organisation KPI.
  • Executes community partnership programmes and activities including MaGIC Ecosystem Builder Programme, Internship Programme, University Curriculum Interventions, Idea Lab, Hackathons, Makerthons, Startup Weekends, Competitions, Sponsorship programmes, etc.
  • Collaborate with strategic partners to enhance and funnel to/ from existing programmes in MaGIC.
  • Represents MaGIC to attend meetings and networking sessions with target communities to build rapport / intelligence gathering on opportunities for future partnerships / collaborations.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for partnership requests from external communities and interested parties at large.
  • Analyse issues or potential problems in community partnership programmes / initiatives and propose recommendations to the HOD.
  • Tracks budget utilisation and file documentations for community partnership programmes/ projects.
  • Updates the database of contacts/ leads from partnership programmes/ projects/ initiatives.
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual activity reports for HOD.
  • Execute additional assignments/ projects/ initiatives from time to time as agreed with HOD.
