The Partnership department is responsible for fostering collaboration between the private sector and startups to strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem. The team promotes corporate innovation and entrepreneurship by connecting with startups. Programmes under our playbook include corporate hackathons, corporate innovation programs, business matching, venture building and corporate venture capital (CVC).

The Assistant Manager for Portfolio Management will support the Manager to build partnerships between high potential startups and corporates such as Government Linked Companies (GLC’s), Public Limited Companies (PLCs) and Multinational Companies (MNCs). The individual will be responsible for managing the database of high potential startups and social enterprises (SEs) and funnelling relevant startups/SEs to effectively engage the corporates with the support of the Manager. In addition, the Assistant Manager will be tasked to manage projects from end-to-end by working with a team of executives.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Sciences
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Development, Corporate Innovation, Management Consulting or Corporate Strategy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding analytical skills, detail-oriented, proactive and self-motivated
  • Strong knowledge of Excel including advanced function
  • Experience in cash flow modelling and investment valuation techniques
  • Ability to produce well designed professional looking Powerpoint presentations

  • Engage high potential startups and Social Enterprises to build relationships and secure information to be updated into the Central database.
  • Manage projects from end-to-end including planning, execution, monitoring and review.
  • Support the Manager, Senior Manager and Executive Director in crafting and designing plans and strategies for the growth of startups/Social Enterprises.
  • Responsible for stakeholder management with startups/Social Enterprises.
  • Responsible for delivering KPI set by the Senior Manager and Executive Director
  • Provide day-to-day support to the Partnership team
