Josh Teng is the founder of Next Academy. With over 10 years of software engineering experience, Josh has taught over 3000 beginners to code, helping many of them to transition into software/product development roles at startups and large global organisations such as Amazon, AirAsia, Google and more.Outside of mentoring students, Josh has also started an enterprise software company (Televate) that includes large airlines and banks in Singapore and a motorsports booking platform (TurnOne) that generated over RM300k in revenue within the first 2 months of launching in 2019.In addition to startups, Josh uses code to invest programmatically in the financial markets.When Josh first started his journey in technology startups, he had no prior software development background apart from one coding class in college. He is excited to share the reasons and the journey transitioning from being a non-technical founder to being a technical founder early in his career.
