[MaGIC Webinar] Navigating COVID-19: Building Resilience in the Supply Chain

In light of the ongoing Movement Control Order (MCO) and MaGIC’s recent survey having conclusive data that only 2.9% of start-ups are confident in surviving through MCO -  MaGIC will be bringing you its Webinar series, a platform for online live sessions with industry experts and entrepreneurs to shed light on the various ways to strategise and thrive in a time of crisis, such as the one brought about by the COVID-19.

Each topic in the series will dive into the different areas of business and offer tools and insights for business sustainability, followed by a Q&A session. We at MaGIC will strive to provide a platform of support for our entrepreneurs as best we can.

Our next speaker will be Mr. Redha Shukor. He is the Lead of Operations team at PwC’s Consulting Associates Sdn. Bhd. Redha completed his Masters in Management Science and Operational Research at University of Warwick, England.

As part of PwC Malaysia’s Operations team, Redha strives to help clients tackle their supply chain challenges and produce significant value for them. He is an expert in Procurement and Supply Chain, Intelligent Automation, Sustainability as well as Operating Model design and implementation.

Redha’s involvement in supply chain engagements include the following areas;

  • Transforming the supply chain operating model to enable better process efficiency and enhance overall governance
  • Development of the procurement operating model to enable better process efficiency and enhance overall governance
  • Improve productivity to reduce overall costs and improve customer outcomes
  • Enterprise-wide technology-enabled transformation to improve overall efficiency and future-proofing organisations

The Session

The Covid19 pandemic has created significant business disruptions and supply chain challenges.

Delays in goods leaving and arriving in markets affected by the virus are also having a significant impact on the working capital cycle of suppliers, creating a knock-on effect into the long tail of downstream suppliers.

Given the lack of understanding of how the COVID19 outbreak will pan out, companies need to be prepared in building resilience in their supply chain. It is also critical to ensure sufficient flexibility is built into their supply chains.

In this webinar session, we'll be taking a closer look at how supply chains are transforming in the ever-evolving marketplace, and investigate what capabilities are enabling companies to stabilise their supply chains and stand out as supply chain champions.

Key Takeaways

  1. Understanding supply chains
  2. Capabilities enabling companies to stabilise supply chains

Course Breakdown

  1. 45 minutes presentation
  2. 15 minutes Q&A
