[MaGIC Webinar] Lessons of Failures and Amplifying Impact

In light of the ongoing Movement Control Order (MCO) and MaGIC’s recent survey having conclusive data that only 2.9% of start-ups are confident in surviving through MCO -  MaGIC will be bringing you its Webinar series, a platform for online live sessions with industry experts and entrepreneurs to shed light on the various ways to strategise and thrive in a time of crisis, such as the one brought about by the COVID-19.

Each topic in the series will dive into the different areas of business and offer tools and insights for business sustainability, followed by a Q&A session. We at MaGIC will strive to provide a platform of support for our entrepreneurs as best we can.

Our next speaker will be Mr. Giorgio Catucci. He has done it all. From small enterprises to big corporations, Giorgio carries with him 35 years of working and consulting experience in areas of project management, change management, culture transformation, lean, six-sigma and design thinking, among others. He started his professional career in major hotels, restaurants and cruise lines; performing different roles including running small seasonal businesses during the summer.

Giorgio is currently the Regional Lean Leadership Ambassador at DHL Global Business Services Asia Pacific. He has been at DHL for the last 22 years and has performed different functions there; from finance operation (Order To Cash) to managing IT deployment projects before transitioning into business process optimisation, cultural transformation and organisational development.

Giorgio is a strong advocate of creating positive and sustainable impact and he is currently advising and leading various social entrepreneurship initiatives that add value to and empower communities and the environment.

Over the last couple of years, he has been freelancing with a Social Mission (experCo.org).

The Session

Giorgio will be taking on the role of a Mentor in this session, leveraging his working experience on building people, teams and organisations, and many more years before that making mistakes himself and watching people make them.

This session is an ideal platform for aspiring and seasoned entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs alike, especially those who seek the wisdom and professional guidance in areas of business model innovation, understanding and building customer base and loyalty, creating exponential impact and effective leadership.

Key Takeaways

  1. Understand why entrepreneurs make mistakes.
  2. Understand the difference between impacting many and impacting deeply.
  3. Understand what makes effective leadership and the 5 things every leader should know.
  4. Inspiring a remote team for productivity and impact.

Course Breakdown

  1. 30-40 minutes presentation
  2. 20-30 minutes Q&A
