[MaGIC Webinar] Investing In Startups With Business Model Pivots

In light of the ongoing Movement Control Order (MCO) and MaGIC’s recent survey having conclusive data that only 2.9% of start-ups are confident in surviving through MCO -  MaGIC will be bringing you its Webinar series, a platform for online live sessions with industry experts and entrepreneurs to shed light on the various ways to strategise and thrive in a time of crisis, such as the one brought about by the COVID-19.

Each topic in the series will dive into the different areas of business and offer tools and insights for business sustainability, followed by a Q&A session. We at MaGIC will strive to provide a platform of support for our entrepreneurs as best we can.

The Session

The coronavirus pandemic has forced many startups and traditional businesses to rethink their business models. When investing in early-stage startups, investors must expect and accept changes to the original business model.

Take Uber as an example. Uber’s beta was launched in San Francisco, California in 2011 as UberCab. Priced higher than an average cab ride, they offered black luxury cars before expanding to Chicago in 2012 and allowed people to hail regular cars. The rest, as they say, is history.

How should startups navigate these changes? How can angel investors support their investees in these challenging times? How can startups work with angel investors through the uncertainties?

Join us in this webinar with Dr Siva, also known as Doc, who has coached numerous startups, helping them grow from startup to scaleup and exit
