[MaGIC Webinar] Impacting Communities, the SE Way

In light of the ongoing Movement Control Order (MCO) and MaGIC’s recent survey having conclusive data that only 2.9% of start-ups are confident in surviving through MCO - MaGIC will be bringing you its Webinar series, a platform for online live sessions with industry experts and entrepreneurs to shed light on the various ways to strategise and thrive in a time of crisis, such as the one brought about by the COVID-19.

Each topic in the series will dive into the different areas of business and offer tools and insights for business sustainability, followed by a Q&A session. We at MaGIC will strive to provide a platform of support for our entrepreneurs as best we can.

Our next speaker will be Kim Lim. She is the CEO and co-founder of PichaEats, a food business rebuilding the lives of refugees in Malaysia. PichaEats is a social enterprise which provides job opportunities to refugee families by providing a platform for them to cater food to the public, utilising their existing cooking skills and equipping them further with professional guidance.

PichaEats was part of the e@Standford program in San Francisco, the Westerwelle Foundation in Berlin, and a grantee under the Air Asia Foundation. The GAP alumnus also had notable achievements such as the winner of Malaysia's Chivas Venture 2017/18 and Top 5 in the international category, the winner of Allianz's Empowering Future Generation in Germany and listed in the Top 10 Asia's Social Enterprise. The company also represented Malaysia in a programme by Chivas and Skoll Centre in the University of Oxford.
