[MaGIC Webinar] How Innovation is Shaping the New Normal

In light of the ongoing Movement Control Order (MCO) and MaGIC’s recent survey having conclusive data that only 2.9% of start-ups are confident in surviving through MCO – MaGIC will be bringing you its Webinar series, a platform for online live sessions with industry experts and entrepreneurs to shed light on the various ways to strategise and thrive in a time of crisis, such as the one brought about by the COVID-19.

Each topic in the series will dive into the different areas of business and offer tools and insights for business sustainability, followed by a Q&A session. We at MaGIC will strive to provide a platform of support for our entrepreneurs as best we can.

Our next speaker will be Wan Dazriq. He currently leads the innovation and ventures practices with Accenture Malaysia. He currently dabbles into corporate innovation and digital ventures space to accelerate digital adoption, innovation practices and growth among large companies as well as multinational corporations.

Aside from corporate innovation, Dazriq specialises in areas of change and transformation with years of experience in strategy, execution and implementation for large scale nation-building initiatives and transformation projects with various multinational entities.

Wan Dazriq is also passionate about social entrepreneurship. He is currently the serving president for Chamber of Social Entrepreneur Development (CSED) Malaysia. He manages initiatives as well as strategic engagements and helps forge collaborations that focus on social entrepreneurship ecosystem development efforts. He is also a member of British Council’s South East Asia Social Enterprise Advisory Board.

Previously, Dazriq led Malaysia’s Social Inclusion & Vibrant Entrepreneurship (MasSIVE), a strategic unit under the Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC) that aims to create social impact through entrepreneurship-related initiatives. Dazriq has served several portfolios under MaGIC. He was MaGIC’s Social Entrepreneurship Program Manager and went on to drive the strategic initiatives portfolio with the ASEAN Centre of Entrepreneurship prior to MasSIVE in 2017.

Among his previous achievements in the social entrepreneurship community was managing the first social enterprise accelerator in Malaysia as well as instrumental in crafting and co-creating Malaysia’s National Social Entrepreneurship Blueprint 2015 – 2018 as well as early accreditation work for Malaysia’s impact-driven enterprises in 2017.
