Alt.Labs 12 - Introduction to Machine Learning in Python

The Alt co-labs series aims to give participants of the community detailed hands-on expertise on the latest technologies in the current Industrial revolution ranging from IoT, Cloud Computing, Robotics, AI & Big (Extreme) Data, and Cyber Security. In this series, as a boost to learner mindset in the current pandemic, and to help those at home looking to upskill, we are going to run a hands-on session on Machine Learning introduction with Python. This is going to be a continuation of Alt. Labs 11 held in November with machine learning model building following thorough data understanding using Pandas. Although it is labelled as Part III, anyone can join in as we will be going through some key concepts once again.

As there are many courses like this out there on the net, and a lot of people are looking to spend their time wisely during this CMCO, this talk is designed in a way to focus only on the important real world applications for someone who either wants to get started to learn the current technology, to stay relevant or to get hands on with Python and Machine Learning. We will want this to be as interactive as possible with lots of Questions and Answers although it will be a webinar session. The instructor is well experienced in this field and will narrow down the right tools to prepare if you or your company are serious in learning Python programming.

This is an introductory-intermediate course in Python Data Analysis and the instructor will go through the fundamentals of Python Machine Learning before diving deeper into Machine Learning techniques, hence some coding experience in Python is beneficial although is not a hard pre-requisite for this course. There will be a hands-on session to learn Machine Learning in Python, so kindly ensure good internet connectivity to at least ask questions and follow live screen sharing. It is open to anyone at any age, as age is not a barrier to learning.

Pre-requisites: Good internet connection, some programming experience will be nice to have.
